<p>Smith's Pies come from humble beginnings, baking home-style pies since 1983. They supply a wide range of classic and specialty pies to stores around Tasmania and beyond, as well as direct to the public through thier Pie Yard in Cambridge and Food Truck.</p>



<p>We were delighted (and all of a sudden very hungry) when Kristian and Sarah, the new owners came to us for a re-brand. Light-hearted, fun and enticing, Smith's Pies identity embodies a playful approach to branding with a cute brand mascot, 'lil Smithy', providing another distinctive layer to the identity system.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Structure and strength - from the ground up.</h3>



<p>The Macquarie Point Development Company are in a unique position, managing the development of one of the final pieces of largescale land in an Australian capital city. Gloo was initially engaged to elevate their visual identity and brand as the organisation works through numerous projects entering the development phase.</p>



<p>For the last few years we have designed the MPDC Annual Report, which is a showcase of progress, governance and financial stability and demonstrates how the site is a focal point for Hobart and greater Tasmania. The annual report’s visual design has been developed around the concept of “structure and strength – from the ground up”. The colour palette references the current earthy brown tone and is accompanied by a dusty blue, taken from the aerial imagery to add another layer to the overall identity of the organisation.</p>



<p>Gloo also worked with MPDC on press and social media campaigns, interpretation signage boards, and other publications that encourage the public to engage with the organisation and to provide them with the most up to date information. Stay tuned for a new website launching soon.</p>

<p>Agapé Hair have been around for over a decade and felt it was time to revamp their visual identity. The owner Gabrielle is known for her infectious laugh, and the salon has a casual and fun vibe. Whilst not compromising on their level of skill and expertise, Agapé want to ensure that their clients feel relaxed, welcome, and leave feeling fantastic.<br>We developed a customised logo that feels fresh and contemporary and plays on the idea of curls, swirls, and mixing of hair dye. A new site was developed that caters to online appointment booking, and we especially love the holographic foil on the lavender card stock for the appointment cards.</p>

<p>The Hot Hands digital campaign achieved significant performance and outcomes, with a 175% increase in brand awareness and consideration Australia-wide. This success was mirrored by a 98% jump in online sales through third-party partners such as Woolworth and Chemist Warehouse, all within a three-month period. Our Google Ads showed marked improvement, with a 2.1% lift in click-through rates and a 13% reduction in cost per acquisition. The Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) was an impressive 13:1.</p>



<p>Our strategic execution relied on in-depth market research for consumer insights, shaping our strategic planning and message development. We crafted compelling messaging for Hot Hands, emphasising its unique attributes and used advanced ad targeting, including geo-targeting and weather data, for timely campaign activation.</p>



<p>Innovative techniques were a cornerstone of our strategy. To enhance the effectiveness of our marketing campaign, we've developed a Python script that interfaces with a weather API. This integration allows us to tailor our advertising specifically for colder regions in Victoria and New South Wales. By leveraging real-time weather data, the script triggers the campaign when the temperature falls below a predefined threshold unique to each area. This approach ensures that our messaging is highly relevant and timely, thereby improving campaign performance by targeting potential customers precisely when they are most likely to need our product.</p>

<p>Jack Jumpers started working with Gloo to create hype and generate member sales in anticipation of their inaugural season. We didn’t have team or player details to utilise at this stage, so we decided to create a series of animations that show the ‘Ant Army’ coming together to support Tassie’s own Australian National Basketball League team. This created a sense of urgency and community, encouraging basketball fans to secure their seat at the renovated and renamed MyState Bank Arena.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Gloo developed the concept and commissioned the membership launch animation series, which has since been used in numerous media campaigns and on the team website. The community embraced the introduction of a local Tasmanian team and celebrated a great start to their season with a full house.</p>

<p>The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra is celebrating a milestone year in 2023 with its 75th anniversary. After disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the TSO looked forward to returning to its tradition of releasing a complete annual program at the state of the year. The focus is on the audience’s experience and the memorable experience of sitting before a live orchestra.</p>



<p>The 2023 brochure, which has a textured embossed cover, served as the centrepiece of the 75th season. After a colourful brochure for 2022, we established a clean and minimal look, letting the imagery shine through, with a supporting palette of jewel tones for this celebration year. The branding has been used in various applications, including social media, digital and press advertising, and billboards.</p>
