Chontelle Cripps

Creative Director

What do you do at Gloo? I work with clients on their branding and campaign projects and work alongside the team to see them brought to life.

What are your credentials/experience for working in your position? I completed a combined degree in marketing and information systems that included digital design. The past two decades of my professional experience include running a creative agency and a retail fashion store before joining the team at Gloo.

What’s been one of your best professional accomplishments? I’ve been a finalist for two years running in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards and have been profiled in national and international magazines and websites.

What do you like about working at Gloo? I love the diversity of the projects we work on, and I love getting to know our clients and what makes them tick. We also have a fantastic team that inspires each other and has fun together.

What are the values that drive you? Connection and creativity.

What’s your favourite quote? “Do more things that make you forget to check your phone” is more of a motto, but I also love “Since my house burned down. I now have a better view of the rising moon” ― Mizuta Masahide

What are your top 3 favourite podcasts/books? I love the Invisibilia podcast, Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro, and I don’t read much non-fiction but enjoyed The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson.

What are your hobbies and interests? Listening to records up loud, eating out, catching up with friends, and spending time with my family. I’m obsessed with nice-smelling candles and wished I had more time to read.

What are your favourite travel destinations? I always enjoy Thailand’s food and sun.

What personal projects are you working on? I’m currently in the process of having our new home built and am immersed in architectural imagery and content.
